Profile:
Stein, Wiener & Roth, LLP specializes in serving the needs of the default servicing
and mortgage banking industry. Mr. Sambursky has been with the firm for over 20
years and oversees the firm’s REO and Eviction Departments. Mr. Sambursky has
successfully defended clients numerous times before the New York City Office of
Administrative Trials and Hearings. Mr. Sambursky has also lectured before the
Nassau County Bar Association on issues regarding Reverse Mortgage Foreclosures
and Evictions.
The firm represents multinational and Fortune 500 companies and their affiliates in
foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings and provides counsel in all aspects of
residential and commercial mortgage foreclosure, loan origination, bankruptcy,
evictions, title resolution, sale of REO properties, and litigation related to the
foregoing in both Federal and State courts throughout the State of New York.
The firm has over forty years of extensive litigation experience in defending and
pursuing claims of utmost concern to the mortgage banking industry, including
RESPA and TILA violations, mortgage fraud, complex title claims, tax lien resolution,
and state eminent domain proceedings. Additionally, we have represented lenders in
bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction proceedings, as well as in transactional
matters including loan origination, REO sales, and loan modifications.
In addition to litigating the above matters on both the trial and appellate levels,
members of the firm have served as counsel for court appointed Receivers,
Referees, and as counsel for title companies in the resolution of claims asserted by
insured policy holders.

The firm has also represented numerous cooperative corporations in litigation
against shareholders and sponsors, and well as acting as the cooperative transfer
agent.
